The fact is that, even with the irritating extra charges, they provide excellent value. To my mind the fault is in their marketing approach, under which they offer seats at completely unrealistic prices (presumably for promotional purposes) and oblige themselves to make everything an extra in order to make money. To my mind, in spite of their spartan aircraft and charge-for-everything-you-can approach, their overall charges are very fair - notably so on those journeys where I can make a direct comparison with alternatives.
