Films in English at Platja d’Aro

Dear All Who love films,

Since the 30th September when the first VO film was screened at OCine, Platja d’Aro with an attendance of 300 plus – and thanks
for your support – we have been able to enjoy three more films with an average attendance of 160.

However, during that time, it has come to the notice of the management that there are a number of people, mostly
English language students and those who work, who are not able to get to the 7pm screening in time.

These people have contacted the cinema to express their disappointment.

In order to include this sector of the public, OCine has decided to screen the films at 8.30pm instead of 7.00pm in Sala 4
(300 capacity). The possibility of two screenings the same evening (eg. 6pm and 9pm) was suggested by the VO team,
but the management believe that there is not sufficient demand at the moment for this. Perhaps this option will be considered in the future.

It is hoped that you, our regular public will understand this situation and will continue to give your support. We ask you to
bear in mind that the VO project is still in its infancy. The projection of original language films has never been
attempted before in the area so is still at the experimental stage. OCine state that their aim is to provide a service which will please everyone.

Best wishes for 2011 and I hope to see you at the cinema!
Sally

THE SOCIAL NETWORK
(nominated for Golden Globes 2011)

Director: David Fincher, 120 mins

starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake -drama biopic

heatedly begins working on a new idea. What begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a
revolution in communication.”

LITTLE FOCKERS

Director: Paul Weitz

starring Ben Stiller, Robert de Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Jessica Alba -comedy
“The 3rd instalment (Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers) of this blockbuster series. It has taken 10 years, 2 little
Fockers with wife Pam and countless hurdles for Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) to get ‘in’ finally with his tightly wound
father-in-law, Jack (Robert de Niro).”

OCine hoped to screeen THE KING’S SPEECH in March (the month of the Oscars) but, owing to this film being
nominated for so many awards, it will be showing in BCN cinemas for some time. We regret that it will not
become available for us in VO until later (hopefully in April).

As soon as we have a film for March we will let you know.

Thanks once more for your continued support.
